     Arrange to reserve one of these passes by calling the library at 789-9507 and asking  for the Children's Room

    The Maury Loontjens Memorial Library holds several passes which allow free admission
    These passes are:

    Mystic Seaport Museum Admits up to 2 adults and three children.
    Providence Children's Museum Admits up to 4 people
    Blithewold  Mansion, Gardens and Aboretum  
    2 adults and up to six children.  mid April-mid October.  Excludes Christmas at Blithewold.

    Other Passes allow for discounted admission

    Mystic Aquarium- Adults $14.50, Children $11.50 (Sept thru May 31st)

     Roger Williams Park Zoo Sept- June 
    Adults $6.00 Children  $3.00 & Seniors $4.00.  Valid for 2 Adults & 2 Children (July & August, Adults $9.00,  Children  $3.00,  Seniors $6.00--valid for 2 adults & 2 Children)

    Half price:  $7.50 adults, $5.00 children (6-15), under six free.

 TumbleBookLibrary is an online collection of animated, talking picture books which teach young children the joys of reading in a format they'll love.

  

The Rhode Center for the book is sponsoring  Letters about Literature .  The Center for the Book in partnership with Target Stores invites readers in grades 4 through 12 to enter Letters About Literature, a national reading-writing contest. To enter, readers write a personal letter to an author, living or dead, from any genre-- fiction or nonfiction, contemporary or classic, explaining how that author's work changed the student's way of thinking about the world or themselves.  To enter, get an entry form in the Children’s Room
